I texted the guy and he said he had someone on the way to look at it. Was wondering if it is someone from here. One thing i noticed about it, it has special forks on it. Hope he swapped the triple tree as well.

        rescued

The 78 standard in Rocky Ford Co.has been rescued.
I had my eye on it for a week or so but was unsure.
I already have a 79 spec. and an 80 spec. but couldn't help myself.
Are 3 1100's too many? nah.
To the members that mentioned the incorrect forks and that the stock pipes are in good shape, you have a good eye.
I am not sure what direction this bike will take as I still have a little way to go with the one I rescued from Ebay in june(basket case)
Does anyone know how I can tell if the triple trees are Spec. or standard?

I called on that bike right after you did apparently. Looks like you got a pretty good deal. I really wasn't looking forward to driving 550 miles each way to get it, even though the price was right. I have no idea how to tell if they changed the triple tree along with the forks or not. Hopefully someone here does. It has been said that the bike will not handle well at all if you mix and match the forks with the trees. Good luck with it, glad someone from here picked it up.
