  • Save an XS11!

So, I was searching Craigslist, and I found an XS11 that needs rescuing.

I have 4 bikes in the garage, so I can't fit another one in. But it maybe a good parts bike.

    See this link: http://houston.craigslist.org/mcy/4000145789.html

Let's save one of our own, from the junk pile!
    Gone but never Forgotten:
    1980 XS11SG - "Scorpion"

    Current:
    2006 Yamaha FJR1300A - "Orion"
    2007 Honda CBR600RR - "Twitch"

"Life is not a journey to the grave, with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body; but rather to skid on broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming:

    WOW - What a ride!

Why are they always so far away from me! That would be great for parts!

      Funny Thing

When I don't need a parts bike, it is 40 miles from me... when I need one, it is clear across the country!

If it is that close to you, go ahead and buy it and sell the parts to all of us. I would.

Here's a basket case w/title in Tulsa. $450 and some elbow grease and you'll have a titled running bike and enough extra parts to sell off and pay for the whole thing.

Maybe this should be a sticky.

Here's one just north of Keene, NH. Posting is from late July so not sure if he's taken it to the junkyard yet. It would be a shame to let all those parts go to scrap.

Well I guess in fairness Neutral is a gear as it is propelled by either gravity or some outside force be it a tow rope or a push by hand. Looks like he does not know a bunch about his bike at all.
