  • 80 LH in Hampton Va. (Not mine)

This was listed a few months ago on CL, I guess he didn't get what he wanted for it.
I don't think that it's worth that price, but someone might like it enough for $2500

    I Remember THIS One

Oh yeah, I remember this from the last time he posted it
with the pics from when HE BOUGHT IT, not current ones.
He never sent me requested pics after making contact
with him a couple of times over a 3 week period.
At least he was able to roll it out of storage to get some
current pics of a dirty, dirty looking bike...just a little elbow
grease and soap and water could do wonders for that bike
Like the ole saying goes "Detail for Retail"
OR at least put a little effort into it to show you tried...
I really laughed at the, "one of the last ones still running" (If it is running)

      I don't think that he's a member here on channel 11.
If he was, he'd know what a good asking price for it would be.
And he'd probably try to sell it here first to those of us who could appreciate what it is.

I don't know what is sadder... Him asking that much, or someone ignorant enough to pay that much.

Seeing as it's local for me, I'll try keeping an eye out to see what happens.

Edit: I looked at the pics closer and What is that next to the speedo? an oil pressure gauge?
What is on the right side faring cover? 2 meters? maybe a voltmeter?

I do like the fact that the trim on the fairing is gold though.

As far as price goes, he is a bit on the high side, but he can always come down to a more realistic figure if someone was really interested in actually buying it...How close are you to him???, although it took me several attempts to contact him...you might have better luck if he noticed it was a local number...
Yeah, those look like added gauges, nice touch, plus the fairing trim you mention it has the Yamaha Accessory sissy bar that is also the faux gold.
That's a pretty rare item right there. Looks to be in pretty good shape IF ONLY he would rinse the thing off and at least TRY to show it in a better way than it's presented here (needs better pics) ...Just sayin'

Well to be honest the rarity of it is lost to some extent that the original exhaust is gone, 4-1 header now. Though they did have it painted black. As to it being dusty, well, hopefully that is dust. When I bought my current SH it looked very dusty in the pics, well, that dust turned out to be white paint overspray from when the PO painted the barn it was in but did not cover the cars or the bike in it. I still have some parts with white dots on them.

Very nice deal on that one. Aftermarket exhaust, but otherwise looks pretty stock and in decent condition!

If it was only closer to Ohio Don, I think I know where there is a spare midnight exhaust system waiting for a bike

Yes indeed Doug, if I did not already have my winter project bike.

If I only had a few hundred $ laying around, I'd go get it today.

Maybe after I hit the powerball!
