  • 1982 XJ1100J w/ 17K miles for sale.

I need to hang it up. Bad back only getting worse when I ride.

I bought this 1982 XJ1100J in 2007 for $2000 with 12,000 miles on it. That's what it said on the odometer and that's what my mechanic said it looked like in the crankcase. Performs beautifully.

I've only put on a little over 5,000 miles ... and more than $2000 in accessories and repairs:
-- Diamond custom seat to raise up a little and go back a lot
    -- Dunlop tires
    -- New gel battery
-- National Cycle Plexifairing 3 windscreen, trimmed down
    -- New high-decibel horns
-- Progressive shocks and springs (and still have original air shocks)
-- Yamaha (OEM) leather saddlebags customized to fit under locked seat
    -- Kuryakin voltmeter
    -- Kuryakin highway pegs
    -- LED driving lights

Bike came with crash bars and a fork brace, and in beautiful condition -- lovingly restored by the PO. Regularly serviced. I had the vacuum fuel system replaced so that petcocks can now be left in "on" position.

Comes with original tool kit, original manual and the shop manual.

I will post pictures shortly ... and you can e-mail or PM me with your e-mail.

    Ideas of fair value?

      Value

The only way to find real worth is to put it at auction on ebay with no reserve.
Takes some guts, but you'll find out what it'll bring.
