  • 1981 XS1100 For sale

Hi to all on this forum. I have a XS1100 for sale. I have just too many projects right now and i won't be able to get to this one for years so I am going to let it go to live again with one of you hopefully.

The good--- is it's a complete bike and in really good shape. Paint and chrome are in good shape and second gear is intact and working well. The trans shifts through all the gears and the bike ran well. Tires are still ok and don't need to be replaced right away. All lights and gauges work.

The bad---bike now has no spark. I tracked the lack of spark to one ignition part that my daughter lost some how. There is one l shaped tear in the seat but you should be able to repair that and the seat will still look good. Because of a divorce I no longer have the title. So this bike is being sold as a parts bike only. $500 O.B.O

if your interested please P.M. me and I will send you pictures since i can't figure out how to put them on this posting.

If you go to the DMV and prove to them who you are, you can pay a small fee and they will get you a new title. It will be MUCH easier for you to get that than it would be for a prospective buyer to do that later. It would also keep the bike on the road for a future owner.

Just so you know that is not an 81 XS1100 at all. It is an 82 XJ1100.

              A lot of bikes!

The garage in those pix has a lot of bikes sitting around.

It has good rubber, exhaust. Other wise not a lot of parts that transfer easily to an xs. might be worth $100 or so as a parts bike.

If the exhaust system is good, that makes the bike worth $300 easy.... I'll agree, $500 is a bit stiff for a no-title bike....
