Yeah, but that's an 80/81 seat and the front rotors are slotted with is something the 80+ had and the 79 didn't, and the calling it a 79 is likely because the build date was in 79 (cause many look at the build date and think that's the model year cause they don't understand how model years work).

I have an 80SG.
The 80/81s had the lower MPH speedos.
So everything it pointing this to an 80SG and not a 79 like the poster says.
Cy hit it on the head, they probably thought it was a 79 because the date on the frame sticker says 79. But we all know it's the frame/engine ID # that really counts.
