I don't think it's an 80 G Wrong color... Right color for an 81 H though...Could be the build date on the bike is an 80 Can't really tell from the picture but that tank looks huge"If A equals success, then the formula is: A = X + Y + Z. 81H all......................no more guessin' needed.......the Vetter tail trunk is added, didn't come as part of the Venturer 1100.81H Venturer1100 "The Bentley" (on steroids) 97 Yamaha YZ250(age reducer) 92 Honda ST1100 "Twisty"(touring rocket) Age is relative to the number of seconds counted 'airing' out an 85ft. table-top.Comment

Yeah, I was going to say the exhaust looked like a stock special exhaust and it looks like I can see the slots in the front disks which also pointed to 81h. But it's also not a runner, so while it's maybe not a parts bike but rather a project, it's still going to take a good bit of work to get it back into shape and on the road, and I'll bet it's going to need new tires as well.Cy

The 81 Special and Venturer shared the same exhaust Cy.81H Venturer1100 "The Bentley" (on steroids) 97 Yamaha YZ250(age reducer) 92 Honda ST1100 "Twisty"(touring rocket) Age is relative to the number of seconds counted 'airing' out an 85ft. table-top.Comment

I know they shared the same exhaust. That with the standard forks and slotted front rotors and standard bars and the tank were some of the cues (prior to the VIN) that pointed me to it being an 81 rather than an 80 as stated in the ad.Cy
