Well, it's an Venturer at least. Only it's not an unmolested one, it's pretty molested, which pretty much destroys the value. Some people just don't understand that you NEVER get your money out of customizations, you ALWAYS lose money on them because nobody else cares about them, so if they add anything, it's a FRACTION of what you paid, but a 5,000 paint job on the tank doesn't frankly add 5,000 to a 1,500 bike, and even if it did, that would still only make it a 6,500 bike. And being REALLY generous and calling it a 2,500 bike and adding the 5,000, that's STILL only 7,500, which is like half of what he's asking for it.

You can get insurance on "agreed upon value" where you can almost make up any number you want and if you total it that it what they you as long as you are willing to pay the premium for it. Who knows maybe that is how much he has in it.

Ok, so he finally figured out it is an 81 probably a Venturer. But restored is a very losely applied term here. Obviously it is a Standard and not a Special, the mirors alone do not appear to be stock but EMGO aftermarkets, let alone the grips are not stock, the seat is at least reformed and recovered, the exhaust is no way close to stock (all 81 models got the same Special style exhaust). The highway pegs are non-stock not to mention the paint job. Not to be picking on things, but if your going to say it was restored, then it needs to be 100% stock.

As for the price, well, again, I hope he gets it, so the price of mine will skyrocket to!!!
