Karla sold some bikes, and parts in 2009, or maybe it was last year, but, this bike is probably one purchased at that time.1980 XS1100LG Midnight

Yeah, over the time I have been here, I have seen this ad multiple times. While I know Bob Jones was a cool dude with alot of XS11 knowledge, I am not so sure I care who maintained the bike three years ago, since he died about that long ago. Who maintained it last month is more important to me.
And the prices I have seen asked for on these are dang close what Cowboy posted. A really nice bone stock mint condition MNS with under 10k miles has sold for about $4500 to one of our members over in Denmark I believe. But none I have seen him post meet those levels of cleanliness or quality. So while I hope someone pays what he is asking so the value of mine goes up, it will not be me.Life is what happens while your planning everything else!

No these bikes are not from Karla...The guy has had a collection of his own...2 yrs ago I spoke to him via email and at that time he was asking $5000 for each of his 6 bikes. Then last year i called him about the one bike you've listed here...he had come down to $2500...I was already to fly in and ride home when he told me the bikes have been in storage for a couple years and that they still had some issues that i cant recall now. But they were not turnkey and ready to ride home. So like was said above..its really doesnt matter that Bob Jones had m,aintained them...who has since then? No one.
None of this is to say that the dude's bikes are not worty of ownership, but the ads are less than totally honest IMO and there will be a bit more involved to get them back up to speed. Caveat emptor1982 XJ1100 MadMax-im
