  • 1980 xs1100 special project $200

Since in July I am off to see the world, I need to get rid of stuff. So I'm selling my special (Misery). Last year something bad happened to the engine, and since I was saving to ride around the planet I didn't fix it. Now it has to go.

4 in to 1 exhaust, king and queen seat. Complete but not all together. Had about 100,000 miles on it when the #2 piston broke. Will include spare rear tire.

    sigh...
I've been in more than one Hemisphere, and I wrote a book to help you do it too (or just prepare better for that week long road trip). Going Small, not just for the little guys.

Any chance you have some pictures you can post?

Wish it were closer, but might consider a 14-hour vacation and $250 in gas

I can post lots of pictures. I am guessing you want to see it's current condition? Anything in particular?

(There's always room for another bike!!)

              Okay, pics.

It looks sadder than in real life, even sadder than I remember. Perhaps that's just dust and personal feelings. Anyway, since it looks sad (and I just found them in my basement) I'll include a wiring harness and final drive, same price.

If you were anything near close to me, it would already be in my garage!

I am getting some interest in various parts, but nothing really on the complete bike, other than what was posted about how much people wished it was closer.

Anyway, the bike needs to be gone by june 12th, so if there isn't any confirmed interest by sunday (the 22nd of may), then I will offer it to the local vintage community. If they don't take it I will assume that is the Gods Themselves telling me to keep it for the time being and I will find somewhere to store it until I get back.
