I don't want to do this but am going to sell my XS11 it ran great and was a daily rider til last fall.I had a short where a wire rubbed against metal. I got that fixed then I lost my tail light a month after. the headlight was bad so that got replaced. but it wouldn't light so I thought it was the regulator/Rectifier and replaced that. The bike was running great I justhad the headlight hooked up from the battery with a toggle switch. I took that off when I got the reg/rect. The bike was running fine still. then one time I tried starting it and it turned over ok then acted ike battery was dead. turned key off and then back on and plenty of power to start. I got it running but some wires started smoking so I shut it down. It is a good running bike just needs a little TLC with the wiring and would be a good bike for someone. i would hate to strip it down and sell it. I don't want to do it I just don't have the time. Would be easy to swap wiring harneses (as long as its the same model). Just unplug the olds and the plug the new one in and just start at one end and work to the other end. Most of the plugs can only plug in to one particular item dye to the shap and style of the plug, its just the smaller things like lights that could be mixed around and then all you need to do is look at wire color.Nathan
