      Hi Lkieviet,
As always it is worth what someone is willing to give you.
Having said that. Your Venturer appears to be in good condition and running so I would hope a $1000 maybe closer to 1800 in the spring.
If mine looked as good as yours i would want 2500 for it but we know we are just wishful thinkers.
Good luck with the new addition to the family.

I saw a couple for sale on kijjiji in the edmonton area and they were 3000 for a 80 special and a couple for 1800 for a standard and none of them had pharings and bags. The ad #'s are 220180712 ,242975341,229853656,and 235308228.

so generally what i was thinking, just getting tired of really low ball offers. although sometimes its nicer seeing something going to some one who really enjoys it, then going to someone to learn on then go get a goldwing when they think they can handle it (bit backwards there, i think)

The issue is going to be that while they may be offered for 3000 or 1800 that doesn't mean they are selling for that price. Come spring the price will of course go up, but the biggest issue it to figure out what they SELL for, I know that many of them are going to lower prices, but some bring the premium price, but remember it takes both good mechanicals AND top cosmetics to get top dollar, and the cosmetics are more important in many cases than the mechanics (unfortunately most will pay more for a really pretty beater than for a dingy looking machine in perfect mechanical condition).

i'll completely agree i'd rather no engine work and trashy paint, simply because you can see what needs to be done on the paint, never know inside the case, and i was thinking on the lower side of price (1800 range) and just keep that price through the winter and even next spring, unless i got a offer cash and no hassle for transport to someone who really appreciated these bikes.

I have seen so many here in edmonton going for more without all of the stuff you have on yours I would be looking for a least $2000 right now and more come spring.

I've always wanted a Venturer and if this wasnt so far away i would take it. Now that its winter i dont have the inclination to get up there. Come Spring we'll see what opportunities may arise.

i got 1500 for the bike and i also delivered it to the new owner for the cost of driving for the 13 hour round trip, i know im crazy but he had one when younger and still truly loves these bikes, so i know it will get treated the way it should.
