This is not my bike just passing on some info, I hope this is the right place for it. Now if I did have the money it would be mine.

I've emailed him a second time now requesting more pics. If it seems worth the deal (cost of getting it home included) then I will be making a road trip to Maine.

That has crossed my mind! But I have a bit of a phobia about jumping on a used bike I know nothing about and hoping it gets me home.

I did it. Flew from Baltimore to St. louis and some puddle jumper out to Tennessee. Quite a rush riding along thinking wtf am I doing, I don't even know if this will make it home. 900 or so miles...

                    Hi Frugal,
I am sure glad I took a trailer to get mine ( 400miles)
Take a buddy and you can ride some of the way home while he tries to keep up in th tank

My tank is a 2000 E150 full size conversion van with the raised top. Great road for road trips but that 5.4 Triton motor loves the gas. Personalized tag reads "RD YACHT".
Pulled a 7x14 trailer last year with 3 bikes and had 7 passengers inside the van along with everything for a 3 day weekend. I'm sure we were 10K-12K lbs total. I got a whopping 8MPG that 700 mile trip.
But, if it is me and the wife, our 2 girls, and just one bike, I still get around 14MPG.
Our Malibu is getting a hitch soon. It should be able to handle an XS on a light weight trailer and still get 20MPG or better. It hits 36MPG+ on the highway with the 4 of us in it not towing.
