I have a 78E I need to sell.Planning on moving south and need to pare down.
Anyway, the bike has new piston rings, valve seals, rebuilt carbs, new fork seals, front tire(cheap tire),new seat. Also added a kerker header.
Runs good.Turn signals not working(may fix them if I have the time).
Paint is rough but not horrible.$1000

    no interest?

I guess I'll post this one more week here and on craigslist, then dismantle and sell parts on ebay.It looks like they are more desireable back east.

      Tarzan,
You are just too darn far away! Hope it sells whole.

Do what you have to but

Try not to part it out.

Sorry you have to sell your bike.
I know I'm preaching to the choir but; I'm sure someone would give you a grand.
I know you need someone to put their money where there mouth is.
I wish it could be me.
Parting it out is a lot of work, time and shipping.
There are advantages to waiting if you can to sell it whole.
78 first year most powerful engine.
              Just trying to offer encouragement.
Good luck and best wishes for you.

I don't want to part it out, but I'm down to $800 on Craigslist and still no calls. It's worth more in pieces at this point.

Glad you did not end up parting it out Rick!! Hope you got a decent price for it, but they are all worth half price this time of year. I figure Banshee will be with me until spring.

I definitely didn't get what I wanted. But the guy who bought it seemed like he will finish it. So at least it will still be on the road.I told him about this place, so maybe he'll come in.

They are worth more in parts but; if you factor in the work to part them and the shipping costs selling whole has its benefits.
