  • 1979 XS 1100 touring.

Hey, I just picked up a 79 xs 1100 off some guy who could not get running. I got the bike running and it is pretty nice. All original 13k, even has factory tool kit. So my question is that is has the big farings on the front and the saddle bags and I really do not care for the way it looks. I wanted to put a regular headlight bucket and light on it and loose the saddle bag compartments but I don't know if the bike is potentially worth more being that it has all this stuff on it. If anybody has any ideas be sure to let me know. Thanks

depends on who your trying to sell it to. Some people like the touring style and some don't. If you do strip off the bags and fairing you'll likely be able to sell them to someone else on the site.

      Samm...

I would definitely be interested in the fairing and luggage/bags. That is exactly what I'm looking for right now. What condition are they in? Pics? I sent you a PM. Thanks...
