  • 78 XS-E to he who can pick it up

I have a '78 EX Eleven-E that has not been running for over 20 years. It had an electrical problem that I was not able to identify at the time. After getting a degree in electronics I figured I knew what was wrong and did indeed fix it, but by that time the engine was seized up and nothing I could do would break it free.

My intention was always to fix it, but family obligations, plus the lack of money available to fix it prevented me from doing anything with it. At this point I really have no desire to put any money into it. It has sat under the carport for the last 15 years or so but it was still somewhat exposed to the weather.

I would like it to have a home with someone who wants it, whether they plan on fixing it up or just to use it for parts. I am willing to sign over the title to whoever can make it to San Antonio, Tx and pick it up. If nobody wants it then I will just have somebody haul it away.

You can contact me at my email for further information.

Sorry to hear you have to let her go. However, if there was any good place to hand an XS off to a good owner, this is it. I'm sure that someone will be in contact with you in the next few hours to get her. I know I would, If I were closer to you! I'm sure she'll live on with a new owner, either as a restoration , or as parts

No, not right now. I can try to get some this weekend. Not a lot to see though. The original seat is wrecked. I have a double-bucket saddle that is still good. It also has a Windjammer fairing but it would obviously need work to use. Color is Macho Maroon.

I guess it would depend on what you want to do with the bike. I am thinking it might be a long way for this bike. I will try to snap a few pics this weekend for you.

Yeah, that's cool. I don't think there will be a high demand for it. If you still want it let me know later next week. The only thing I have to do is go to a project closeout party on the 12th. That would be after 1500 hrs.

                    Hey All.

Whoever gets this bike if you dont want the backrest I am in need of one.
Do not need the luggage rack ,only the back rest.

                    Thanks

Hey all, I just now noticed that I have some private meassages. I am sorry to not have gotten back to you. I kept looking in the forum for replies. I know for at least one of you it is probably too late. My apologies.

Where is it? If it's in Oregon, I'll give it a good home...

Sorry folks. The bike was picked up this afternoon. I will leave it to them to say who it was. I appreciate the interest in it and I am happy that it went to a good home.
