Found this on CL near me. Owner thinks its an XS but looks like an XJ to me. I can't tell if its an 1100 or not. Maybe one of the XJ gurus would be able to tell.

Definitely NOT an 1100. It's an XJ (swirly wheels), but it has drum brakes in the rear, and it looks to be a tripple, not a 4-cyl.1980 XS850SG - Sold

I thought all XJ's were inline 4's. The pictures are pretty crappy in the listing. I couldn't tell if there were 4 header pipes or not.79 XS1100 SF - name TBD - possibly "Divorce Maker" Kerker 4 into 1, K&N filter in stock air box

Just like the XS's, they had smaller versions of the XJ. There was the XJ500, 550, 600, 650, 700, 750, etc... I think.... The smaller versions were made for more years than the 1100.1980 XS850SG - Sold

Hey Bug,
Yep they made all of those sizes .... in two and or four cylinder versions IIRC. I know the XJ 650 and 750 were four cylinders as a friend of mine had the 750and I ahve looked at a couple 650s . Looks to be a four cylinder to me. The triples have the header center of the frame tubes for no 2, at least my old XS750 did, and I think only the XS 750 and 850s were triples.
But definitely has a drum brake which was not on the 1100s.Life is what happens while your planning everything else!
