  • Wanting to sell - need help

OK, this is going to sound stupid, but that's what I'm known for....

I am thinking of selling my '78 1100F but have added a vetter fairing and factory bags to it and was wondering if better to put back to stock and sell that way or with the fairing and bags. What would be better?

    Thanks for any input.

Depends on what people are looking for. I wish mine had the bags, still looking for a good set.....

How about a picture, that would be a great start. Im a young guy, mine has bags and I like them. I get picked on but I get the last laugh when I can go to the store and buy a bag of charcoal and a case of beer and be able to put it in the bags!

I agree w/ the consensus, Joe... it all depends on what the buyer's lookin' for. When I bought mine, I knew I wanted a fully dressed bike.

You might post pics both ways, with and w/o. Gives them a choice, and lets them see the potential both ways.

How much are ya thinking of asking?

Thanks for all the feedback guys.

I was thinking of asking around $2,000 for the complete set up.

It has 24K miles, new tires front and back, new battery Aug 08 and I synced the carbs this past weekend.

I am having trouble getting a pic on the post but I was able to put it on my avatar. Any help on how to post?

Of course, if you sell it nekkid, you'll have half a garage worth of stuff sitting around for the next couple of years for SWMBO to get on you about, asking "why didn't you get rid of that stuff when you got rid of the bike".

You have to post on another site (like Photobucket) then link to your pictures in your posts here. No regular way to upload photos into posts on the forum.
