  • 1980 XS1100 Midnight Special

    Hi all,
    You guys get first pick.
Over $3000 invested asking $2500 price is negotiable.
I had a fusion done on my back and cannot ride, so no I can not deliver this to Maine
I am the 2nd owner of this bike it had 23000 when I got it, I did some minor wrenching on it and it has 30,545 now. It was my daily transportation until I had surgery.
I put a new clutch and did the mod.
The transmission works flawlessly so I have not done anything except change to lube.
I put Pod filters on it, all new carb parts (they were leaking when I got it).
It starts good cold and hot, it runs and runs and runs, never skipping a beat.
It comes with the original intake and hardware, factory manual, tool kit, clymers manual, new clutch cable, new speedometer cable. I recently put a new battery in it. The charging system works like it is advertised to in the manual.
You can hop on this bike and ride it across country, it runs that well, just add gas.It comes with the original speedo and a 160 mph. both work fine. the 160 is currently on the bike.
It is located in Hemet, CA iif you are truely interested I will send picks, let me know. tusler@linuxmail.org

Man, I'm sorry to hear you are laid up and unrideable. Been following you r threads and comments for a while and appreciate your contributions. Any eta on getting back in the saddle there cowboy? I'll put you in my prayers and we'll just see what happens.

Holler if I can be of any assistance in Texas and have a great day.

I'd jump on the beast but my garage is full at the moment and should be one body heavier on monday or tuesday (the black cleveland standard gets delivered).

Thanks I can use the prayers!,
Doc says 6 to 12 months for the bones to be fully healed and then I start therapy so I can get some movement, there is no way to tell what my riding condition will be until the end of it all.
I have been starting the bike every week and letting it run till it is warm to keep everything lubed and the carbs working and not letting things gum up.
It will be better to have someone be riding it.

          Sold!!

It is as good as gone for $1800.
WHY is everyone giving these away for $1000 and less?
The folks overseas will pay a premium if you are willing to sell to them.
