  • 80 Midnight found in barn $500 USD

No kidding, my neighbor found this in a barn a couple of years ago. Dunno why he has been sitting on it. He claims the motor runs. I offered to post photos for him. Don't call me, I have not personally seen it. He says he might take a little less than $500. I can send hi-res photos if you really need to see it better.

Looks like a candidate for restoration. Not OEM exhaust, missing badges, side covers. Tail light is not stock, looks like handlebars are not stock. Seat is taped up. Rust along bottome edge of tank might indicate trouble. Would take a lot of work and not a little $$$ to put it into prime shape. I think $500.00 is a little high, but don't know what Midnights are worth these days.

      Hi Jerry!
I agree. I just offered to post his photos. I don't know the mileage, history, or if he even has the title.
      Anyone interested call him.

I saw my neighbor yesterday, and I suggested the price might be a bit high. He said the motor has only 4,000 miles on it.

As I said, I have not personally seen the bike, only these photos. Call him if you have questions.

That bike looks all stock, other than the exhaust. But if the outside looks that bad what about the inside? If it had more than 4,000 miles on it I'd say parts bike. I know a guy to restore it.......

If it were closer I might try to negotiate something, but I'd double the cost in going to get it. That and the resultant divorce kinda holding me up. But would not mind getting something like that if it turns over to go more custom with.

I just picked up three good XS 1100 in North Dakota barn for $600 and all but one is in good shape. The wrecked one is shot except for the motor that has 9,000 miles on it.

I bought it for parts & did a 800+ mile round trip to pick it up. My '80 Midnite has a twin!

If that thing is for parts, any chance of selling the black luggage rack?
