  • 79 XS110 SF Like New

Just done restoring a like new SF. This is one of those rare finds you only read about. Now this bike could be yours.

1979 XS1100SF with only 6000 original miles and garage kept its whole life! I've known this bike since new and just purchased from its orginal owner. I have replaced tires, complete fuel system overhaul (carbs, petcocks, etc), new 4 into 2 stock style exhaust, tune up, battery. This bike could pass as new. Starts and runs perfect. Original seat cover, still even has vac routing diagram decal on underside.

You may never find another one in this condition again. Located in NW Indiana, about 60 miles SE of Chicago. (DeMotte, IN 46310)
Pick it up or ride it home!

    $3500 and worth every penny.

219-987-2092 with any questions or email me for more pics.

What exhaust system did you use? I need to replace my headers as the silly PO used the ones for the standard and they don't quite mate to my SF engine block.
    Looking for an XS

    79 XS1100SF (RIP)
    - stock standard headers(stupid PO), slip-on after-market mufflers.
    - after-market rear shocks (PO installed)
    - no airbox, POD filters

    Misery remembered is ADVENTURE!

I used the system from MAC. I ordered it from motorcycleproshop.com. They had it to my door within 2 weeks, not bad for an older bike. The system fit right on after I figured out the brackets (no instructions).

            Hey Racer,

I'm looking at those MACs for replacing the exhaust on my XS1100G.

The exhaust that came on it are the original headers (rusty but in good shape otherwise) and Harley slash-cut mufflers (too loud for me). This G has the dealer-installed fairing and saddlebags similar to the Venturer H model.

My question is...are the MACs a quiet muffler, or are they screamers like the 4 to 1 types are? All I really need are the slip-ons, but I want to be sure I get some QUIET mufflers, not loud ones.

Thanks in advance for any info you can afford me!

This is EXACTLY what I'm looking for. Month and a half late and a dollar short. How often does something like this come up in this forum?
