  • My Chrome Beauty for sale

I really don't want to do this but I'm putting my 79 up for sale. I can almost guarentee this is one of the nicest XS's you will see. No corners were cut when I restored this bike. It has approx 1100miles on the restoration.

It has two issues. It will need the 2nd gear fix (only skips under full throttle.) and the front tire is bad (it's not completely round so it gets a vibration at high speeds.) It's completely driveable the way it is, but if your a perfectionist like me you will want to fix them.

It gets looks and complements everywhere I go. It's a very fun bike. The only reason I'm selling it is because I have too many toys and I don't have enough time to drive this bike the way it deserves to. I really want it to go to a good home.

I have well over $8000 in this bike. I know the price is high but it's a sacrafice at $6500!

This is everything I've done it her:
    - Metzler ME880 tires front and rear
    - Replaced front and rear wheel bearings and seals
    - Installed EBC pro-lite full floater rotors
    - replaced front master cylinder
    - Spiegler stainless steel brake lines with chrome fittings
    - Rebuilt calipers and installed new bleeders
    - Polished lower fork tubes
    - Installed progressive front springs and changed fork oil
    - Installed T-kat fork brace and had it chrome plated
    - Chrome plated front and rear wheels

    - Chrome plated valve cover
    - Chrome plated all four engine side covers
    - Chrome plated rear brake lever
    - Chrome plated side stand and center stand
    - Chrome plated exhaust hanger brackets
    - Replaced gear shifter lever
    - Replaced all four blinkers and bushings
    - Superbike bars
    - Installed Mikexs 650 chrome plated control switch housings
    - Kuryakyn mirrors
    - Kuryakyn ISO grips
    - Replaced gas cap with one from Mikesxs and swapped guts so I could use my old key
    - Tank and side covers painted with Burnt Metallic Orange with pearl ghost flames
    - Custom "Yamaha" and "XS Eleven Special" emblems
    - MAC 4-into-1 exhaust system
    - Replace rubber foot rests

The paint is a special blend as far as I know. The paint is made by a german manufacture, but I don't know the name.
