Hello everyone, looking for a set of leading link forks for a 78 - 81 XS1100. These type of forks are used for sidecar duty. Thanks.

When I built my sidecar rig years ago I sent my steering heads off to a place in Canada and they rebored them. I wish I could remember the company but it was over 20 years ago. It really helped the steering but could never be used on a 2-wheel bike again. I had a BMW with leading link also and that was a dream to maneuver.Comment

Yes, that's the type of front end I am looking for. Makes a sidecar rig much easier to steer. And yes, you would need to remove it if you remove the sidecar to return the geometry of the rake back to stock. BTW, I have a 74 R90/6 that I restored in 2006 and I just rode it today. Great bikes that are far ahead of their time.
