    Two Center Exhaust Pipes

Hi all, I'm new to motorcycles and just picked up a 1980 XS1100 to fix up with my 13-year-old son. The bike has both of the outside exhausts, but both of the center exhausts are missing. I've looked in quite a few places but can't seem to find anything that looks right; does anybody have suggestions where I can look?

I find most of my used parts on eBay.

How similar are the parts between the model years? I know a lot of parts are the same between vehicle years, but I never quite know how confident I can be in buying a part for a different year.

I use the cross reference feature on partzilla.com quite often. Look up the part you need then use the "fitment" tab to see which bikes/years use the same part.

It’s my understanding that Partzilla did away with that feature.

Give it a try, it's still there. If his bike is a standard the pipes fit 78-80.

Serves me right for not checking for myself. Thanks!
