Curtis,
You can get a nice re-pop on Evil-bay for less than $20 (proper threading)
BikeMaster Stainless Mirror Yamaha Reverse Right
https://www.ebay.com/itm/BikeMaster-...53.m2749.l2649
It is not identical to Yamaha OEM but it is pretty darn close. Just purchased the left and the right BikeMaster verisons for my SR project. (the link above is only for the RIGHT)

Hi Curtis
You could also check PartsnMore fir mirrors. I picked up a set for my 78 from them and they look identical except the tiny yamaha logo on the plastic backside of the mirror was smoothed over.

If you only need a seat cover, I bought from Dis-covers and it looks as close to OEM as I could find

Thanks for the replies.
DuWayne, Thanks for the offer. I need the whole seat for a modification but will be saving the cover and foam in their original form. The stock seat pushes me too far forward and I want to get one customized on the original pan using the original cover and foam as a pattern.
Kurt, Thanks for your suggestion, I have a nice original Left mirror and hope to find one for the Right. You know how some people can be with originality.....
Brian, Thanks for your input as well. My Right mirror is functional, just fugly!

Marty,
Thanks for your suggestion but you know what a PITA I can be about original parts. It's also why I asked about a right mirror only. I have a good left one and a crappy right one. Good glass and stem but the piece that holds the mirror is a bit toasty. BTW I finally lucked out and found the electrical gremlin that has been haunting me for over a year. Just blind luck. I was pushing and pulling wires behind the right side cover and a twist lock connector fell apart right in front of me! Broken locking tab. A very small piece of Gorilla tape yeilded 135 miles of running the crap out of it without problem one. Back in business. It's one of my top 3 favorites.

The 1979 special mirror has the clamp on the stem to mount the mirror and the 80 special has a cover where the mirror mounts to the stem, correct?
Thanks for the cross reference Marty.

I have a few of the later OEM non sliding clamp types that I believe came off of an 81 and 82 that have the yamaha symbol on them, but they are not in perfect condition.
