  • Oil pan gasket

I am seeking to find a NOS oil pan gasket. Any particular brand to look for or avoid?

    Anyone have one to sell?

I realize some people use RTV. But I think I prefer a gasket.

    Hi Brian,
If the old one is mostly together we can use it as a template.
I have hole punches if you get some gasket material. 1/16 thick from the auto parts store.

Sounds like it could be fun, if there is beer involved and you help drink it. If that doesn't result in a nice gasket then we'll have to buy more beer.

        Hi Brian,
        I like that idea.

Brian, personally I used Permatex Ultra Grey for sealer, NO gasket. Trick is to have both surfaces clean(I used Brak-Kleen), then put a super fine film of Ulta-Grey on one or the other surface and bolt together. The oil pan, clutch cover and shifter cover on my Venturer all are bolted on this way and have been in operation for some 8yrs. now, with not so much as a weep nor an oily looking surface where covers are bolted on .
