  • Standing Handle

I just realized this week I am missing the standing handle. part no 2H7-21165-00-00 HANDLE,STANDING

I always thought the edge of the seat was a bit sharp for lifting the bike up to put on the centre stand. Turns out there was a reason for that thought.

So, anyone have a spare in nice shape?

Maybe someone is coming to XS East, and wants to trade for a NOS throttle grip, or a NOS turn signal lense.

Both small items and easy to carry.

I think he is referring to the handle used to get the bike on the center stand. Small chrome handle on the left-rear side, under the seat (attaches to frame and upper shock).

Heard of it but never seen one. Good luck, I am guessing it is one of those things that gets taken off and tossed because people don't know what it is.

            hope

I had given up on the wire tool and found one of those, so I'll hang on to some hope for the handle.

              Accessory?

I have seen one or two on eBay previously, but never on a bike.

              Maybe they were an accessory?

I think we all don't notice details until they're pointed out to us

Even the scale models had them

This one looks like the luggage rack has been designed to fit with the handle in place rather than removed.

Both of mine ( one I sold) and currently owned 79F have them. I have a luggage rack/ backrest, and it installs with no problem. Mighty "handy" when yanking it up on its centerstand.
