I am looking for one of those plastic glare shields that are formed to cover the standards gauges. Been looking for a long time and every time I find one it falls through. I have a rounded one for the specials but it just doesn't fit quite right and it rubs on the fairing when turning. Here is a picture, you can kind of see it in the right 2 pictures of this add pic. Let me know if you have one you can part with.

Interesting Nate. I had to remove mine off the Venturer when I installed the Vetter sound system carrier some two weeks after buying bike new, as it wouldn't clear the stereo housing. Still have it in closet along with original factory Venturer seat, but at this point just going to hang on to them both as they both are perfect factory cond. I'll keep an eye out for ya' though.81H Venturer1100 "The Bentley" (on steroids) 97 Yamaha YZ250(age reducer) 92 Honda ST1100 "Twisty"(touring rocket) Age is relative to the number of seconds counted 'airing' out an 85ft. table-top.

Nate, I looked for an hour and came up empty handed.
I know I had an extra and I may have given it away, but I'll double check as the shop is in disarray ATM

Yeah, I have one of those and it just doesn't fit. the back isn't tall enough to reach down to the screws so you have to put a piece of metal in there to make it fit. Then the corners stick out to far and it rubs the fairing when you turn the bars. Just doesn't work.Nathan

Hi-jack alert!
I needed the shield because my gauge lights reflect into my eyes off of the windshield at night.
But whenever I install the gauge shield, my tach gets twitchy - every time. There is something mechanical about this problem......I tried adding ground wires and misc. electrical ideas, but it doesn't have any effect on the twitching.
BTW: My tach was twitchy before I bought the shield, and I replaced the tach and it was fine after that.
This situation makes us think the alternator wire is NG, but I can't find a problem with the wiring. If I take the mounting nuts off of the tach- it is always works fine. If I put the mounting nuts back on the tach without the shield, the new tach works fine.
I have surrendered for now. I'll out the shield aside until I get back to it.
Sorry for the side show. It's almost related.-Mike
