    79 special tank thermistor

    Need a replacement thermistor for a 79 special tank mine is done and will not work at all with no amount of cleaning.

    Is that the fuel gauge sending unit? Same as a 79 Standard?
    79 XS1100F, Stored for 20 years, Indigo Blue, Original Paint with hand pin stripe dated in 79 (except one side cover is now primered), 10,000 miles!

      They are different. The standard has a float and tells you how much fuel you have where the special only tells you that you are low (thermistor ).

        Ah, I didn't know that. Sorry, can't help then.
