  • 2 1/4" inlet mufflers

l'm looking for a couple of mufflers to fit my Mac 4 into 2 headers. I would like to find a set of Mac flair tip mufflers with removable baffles but a pair of anything with a 2 1/4" inlet and removable baffle I might be interested in.

I gave Gabe (Down$hift) my good set of Mac turn-outs. He is not using them. Send him a message and see if he still has them.

I have 2 sets of turn outs and set of taper tips. They all have the same non removable baffle and that is the problem, the baffle is too restrictive for our engines. The flare tip has a removable baffle and I can modify it.

My bike ran great with the Mac system! Although I had a more free-flowing airbox.

Mine always had a stumble at WOT in lower gears and top end was really forced. It got worse and worse this summer starting on the trip west this spring. It wasn't right when I was up in Michigan with y'all in August but it got really bad this fall (refer to "Loss of Power" thread").

Took the Mac turnouts off and it is crazy fast again, put them back on (even with mods) and it runs like crap again.

Took me a month or better to get it figured out but I'm 200% certain that's what the issue is.

This pegs my weird-$hit-o-meter for certain.

Could that be attributed to a long-term carbon buildup?

That's what I'm thinking but as I said, it always had that WOT stumble and the forced top end. (over 100MPH) But all of that is gone with the noisy straight through baffles I'm using now. It runs like it should.
