  • 79 XS1100 frame and title needed.

I know this is a long shot, but I need a frame or at least the neck of a frame with a good title.
Bought a good old one here in Wisconsin, but they make it near impossible to get a new title.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How hard would it be to register a Canadian frame there. I could send you the neck off of a bike, if it could be registered as bought from Canada. JAT

Do you have the Canadian title?
I can do a little research to see what it would take if you do.
      I appreciate your help.

We just have bill of sale registration here in Canada. We do not have Titles at all. Thus my question as to what you would have to go thru to register an out of the country vehicle? Would it need to be inspected or a certain number of years old or other type of questions.
I have several bikes here that will never see the road again (unfortunate as that is) and to cut off a neck for the serial number, so another may live, would be like a heart donation to someone who needed it.

I just looked this topic up the other day as another Canook had a nice special up for sale. What I read said you have to get the proper paperwork from customs on the Canadian side, and it's handled as an automotive type import.
I think I have a loose screw behind the handlebars.

I know importing vehicles from Canada is very difficult.
I already have a frame with numbers that are good, it's just that I am not the original owner nor can I find him.
In Wisconsin, a new title can only be gotten by the original owner.
That is why I am looking for a new frame and title.

              The search is over.
