Looking for factory stock handlebars for my 1978E. Original part number is 4H9-26111-00-00. If the factory originals are not available, any specific information on an aftermarket pair that fits close to original specs would be much appreciated. I do not want the Buckhorn style. I know a lot of people swap them out, especially when they convert to Bobbers or Cafe Racers, so hopefully someone has a set sitting around in their barn or garage somewhere. Thanks!

Howdy- Unfortunately, I sent my handlebars to the scrap yard a few years ago. But, curious as-to why you want stock bars? Restoration to original, or because you would like to try them?
In my opinion, they're horrible, and I took them off 30 minutes after buying the bike. Many on here use Goldwing bars.1979 XS1100F

When I bought the bike (in non-running condition), it had fallen over when sitting stationary. The left side was bent upward, and the bottom left bend was creased, and had actually split open. It was uncomfortable to ride, after sorting out the carbs and getting it running again. My hands went to sleep (carpal tunnel), and I'm not sure whether to blame that on the way the handlebars are formed...and the left being bent out of shape didn't help, I'm sure...or the crappy foam rubber grips that were on the bike.
Truth be told, being 100% stock isn't as important to me as it once was. I've seen Goldwing bars for sale and wondered if they'd work. Hearing that is a common replacement, I think I will give a set of those a try, then. The stock bar height is fine, but the angles aren't right for me. I guess if it comes down to it, I can have something built if the Honda bars don't pan out. Thanks a bunch! I've been at a total loss, not having a good understanding of how to measure bars...and since there isn't really a 'standard system' that all manufacturers adhere to, it's a crap-shoot buying online. I appreciate your input!78 E

I've been looking for that very thing for my 79F - ever since 2007 I've been looking. But everytime I saw a set of stock bars they were either bent or rusty. And I tried about four different sets of aftermarket bars that just weren't the same. A couple weeks ago I FINALLY found some that fit the bill almost perfectly. Here's a link to the thread that has pics and details - Finally found bars I likeI think I have a loose screw behind the handlebars.

It's pretty hard to tell from pics, but here's some stock pics of 11's from Motorcycle Specifications. Hope it helps.
