  • Considering Getting Back into the XS Game....

Now, let me preface this with saying that I'm not 100% decided on this matter, and this is merely putting out feelers.

My first bike was a 1980 XS11 Standard, which I sold three or four years ago because I couldn't keep it running. Since then I've had a flurry of Goldwings and (most recently) a 1980 KZ1300. I'm getting a bit tired of one of my bikes, a 1977 GL1000, and was thinking about trading it up and getting another XS1100.

Really what I'm looking for is an early model Standard, either a '78 or '79, with the tail piece on the back on the seat, as close to stock as possible.. If anyone's willing to trade, I'd be open to offers.

Let me know what you think. Again, I haven't made a final decision, but if I get an offer I can't refuse.... never say never.
    Currently XS-less.

    Food for thought.

I have three specials. 79 and 2 80,s. I had a 81 Goldwing Standard and liked it for cruising. If you don't want a special, that's OK too.

Clearcoat is starting to fail on tank.. Moved it last year from California to New Jersey and haven't run it here. Bone stock '78E. Rear trunk not stock, and bags stock but wrong color obviously.

Hey PO, what is that car behind the bike. I can't place it but I'd bet it's a 1971. It hurts my brain trying to figure it out. Sport mirrors, white walls, chrome bumpers and two doors. I haven't a clue.

Close.. 1965 Impala. That one was chopped with hydraulic lifts on all four wheels... Left her in Cali with a bunch of bikes I couldn't move.

It looks like a '66 behind that bike to me.

Agree with Jetmechmarty.....may be a 65 but that grill hidin' behind the scoot is definitely '66.
