  • Need a #3 carb and starter button

    ==========
    My bike is a '79 XS1100 Special and the #3 carb has a bad needle seat. (We epoxied it once -- held for one season.) And crawling over the beast while in storage, I somehow crunched the button you push to engage the starter. I don't know if the carbs are different or all the same? I'm the 2nd owner so she's all original stuff . . . been parked since '02 (I've owned her since '83) and looking to get her purring again.

        I have a #3 carb body but one of the mounting holes is cracked.

        If you are interested PM me and we can work out a fair price.

            So I'll get the new buttons for sure . . . can that crack near the mounting bolt be repaired? Does it need to be? I don't yet know how to do the message thing but my addy is sail4free@zoho.com

              If your other carb bodies are mounted solidly then only having one mount good and the tops connected properly you should be good to go. You could also try some JBWeld but I don't know if that will make a difference.
