  • Looking for fuel tank 1980 sg Black/red sparklies

    Need a good original paint clean inside tank. My original tank was creamed unsuccsessfully by PO. Paint is perfect but coating is crumbling badly.

    As long as you are careful, acetone will remove the old liner.

        I had a nicely painted XS650 tank with purple sparkles. The first time I put gasoline in it, the liner failed. I rescued it without damaging the paint. Acetone dissolved it, but there was still more clean-up to do. Read all about the adventure here: Failed Tank Liner
