I had seen DGXSER's fix. Remember thinking it was a good one at the time but I had forgotten about it. Think I'll try the process with a brass shoulder bolt from McMaster Carr.
Still, however, looking for a reasonable #3 body if anyone has one. Plan to sell the carbs and would like them to be "perfect."

I have a set of carbs for 80 need to be rebuilt , they are still on rack and pretty clean just need some tlc I just picked up a set that was already done
