  • carb choke plunger needed

    Hi,
I'm finally cleaning the carb the way it wants to be cleaned, and broke the tiny shaft off the plunger that activates the choke.
Anybody got a hulk carb you'd sell me this part off of?
Gone hunting until October 27, so won't be checking in but will when I return.
    Thanks,
    Jeff

I think he is refering to this part; 3F7-14171-00-00
A picture of which can be seen here;http://www.benefiscal.co.uk/enterpar...n&mysimilar=on
Unclick the "xs1100 only" box, and click the "find similar parts on other models" box, then "go find".
Click on the camara icon about halfway down the list of part numbers.

It looks like it was used on 650's, 750's, 850's and 1100's.
      Available at; http://www.boats.net/parts/detail/ya...171-00-00.html
      and; http://www.powersportsplus.com/parts...171-00-00.html
The Powersport price is a lot better than the Boats.Net price.
Mikes XS might also have them.

          Hey John,

DGXSER got me worried in a private message yours might not fit since there are two flavors out there, depending on year. Unfortunately, I can't remember which year carb it is, since this has been a decades-long project (but not full time!) project involving a number of hulks.

But I'm hopeful the photos were close enough that they're the same. 50% chance, anyway. The image I tried to send of mine, the one that gives me hope, is here:

          Thanks again!
