  • 79 F Rear Indicator Mounts

    Hi,

I have just taken the bags I used for commuting off my bike and want to take it back down to a nekked model. When putting the turn indicators back in their original housing I remember that I need the rubber grommets with the square holes so I can put the lights back where they belong.

Does anybody have a spare set they would be willing to part with and let me purchase?

If not, does any one have an idea on how to by pass the rubber grommet?

    Thanks,

    Judson

A little tip: boats.net is the marine branch of Powersports Plus. If you go to Powersports Plus to search your parts, you'll find them a little less expensive. If you buy a lot of parts, that can add up. Here is the damper for less.

        http://www.powersportsplus.com/parts...321-00-00.html

Also, once you find your bike on Powersports Plus and open the parts breakdown, look to the right of the screen. You will see a link to available aftermarket parts for your bike at deeply discounted prices.

I'm good with posting this because I am a happy customer several times over. Good goes around. My last order was delivered in three days.

Marty, I tried a test to see if they were cheaper, and I found an item that wasn't.
Exhuast header nuts. Boats: $1.49, PowerSports: $1.96
          Here's the 2 URLs:

So, I guess the best way to go is to check both sites and see which one will be lower. At least we have a choice.

ps. Shipping was the same on either site:
          U.S. Shipping Rates
The lower U.S. 48 states shipping rates are based on the dollar amount of the order:

          USPS First Class Mail
          $0.01 - $10.00 dollars total $1.75 shipping
          $10.01 - $60.00 dollars total $6.95 shipping
          FedEx Ground
          $60.01 - $100.00 dollars total $9.39 shipping
          $100.01 - $149.99 dollars total $13.58 shipping
          $150.00 - $199.99 dollars total $17.78 shipping
          $200.00 - $249.00 dollars total $20.93 shipping
$250.00 and up free shipping within the lower U.S. 48 states
Just offering up a different view.

            George,

There appears to be an error in the list price on one of those two sites.

Marty, I'm not sure what the 'correct' price should be, but I'd buy from the one that list the lower price.
I tried again, this time with the exhaust gaskets.
Boats, $3.20, PowerSpts, $3.39. But like you said on the previous item, the 'list' price is different on both of these too.

Either way, both sites are good sites (even if they are the same company).
I suggest to anyone that is looking for parts, look at many different sites for price, shipping, reputation, etc. and find the one that works best for you.

Thanks so much for the help guys. I went to both websites and wound up buying from Powersports. I look forward to getting them and having my Nekked bike back.
