  • Gauge Cluster Glare Shield

I have seen them on some peoples bikes, it is basically a shaped piece of plastic that mounts above the gauge cluster. I really need one! I am getting some NASTY glare on my fairing windshield from the gauges at night. If I can find a pic of it I will post it.

Make me an offer on one NOS, genuine Yamaha sticker and all.
They won't work well with a radio in the fairing.
They are stock on the Venturer. There are a couple shots of one in this pic:
    Current Stable:
    1978 XS1100E - Beauty - Vetter Full Dress
1979 XS1100F - The Beast - Winter Project to Factory Full Dress
    1979 XS1100SF - Black Sunshine - The Lucky Find
    1978 XS1100E - Little Orphan Annie - Sold to a friend, slowly becoming a 1196 monster.
    WTB:
    1981 XS1100H Venturer - Long distance cruiser.
1989 FJ1200 - For playing in the curves!

That is the part I am talking about, but I doubt u can afford NOS so I don't even think I want to make you an offer.

That's because the radio (cyclesounds) solves the problem all by itself. It hangs over far enough to be a glare shield.

True, but I was thinking about it from the point of not being able to reach the radio controls very well with the shield on.

Would work fine on YOUR fairing with stereo Natemoen.........just can't be left on using the Vetter fairing with stereo. Still have mine as part of the original stuff including the original seat that IIRC has only seen a couple weeks of daylight its whole life.
