  • Kind of for now

I am investigating a 79F, needs a new front MC reservior, I am sure the cap and all as well. Any one know a source?

Also the plastic side covers, I know these seem to be almost as mythical as the exhaust.

Mike's XS has the cap. It costs just a little less than a new master cylinder.

Is there a difference between the Std and the Specials front MC? The angle seems like it may be different, or is it just in the bars.

Yes there is an angle difference due to the specials bars to keep the reservoir level. People have swapped between the 2 though without trouble.

I as well bought an MC from MikesXS. It was the 14mm I believe. People said it might not have the stopping power that the 16mm stock MC had but I have had ZERO! troubles with it. I just needed a rebuild kit for mine and figured I would just switch it out. It was the all black 14mm model. I like the look of it a lot better as well. Thinking of getting some SS brake lines to go with it or even doing the STD fork swap to see if there is any difference, but the MikesXS MC was perfectly fine. I dig it. Can't remember a price, but I have the receipt with the part and price if you are interested.
