Welcome aboard! The side covers will be hard to come by, since they were unique with the MNS insignia. The seat itself can be replaced by any seat from a '80-'81 Special, but depending on how authentic you want to be, the stitching on the covers were different for the MNS's (fancy double top-stitching). You can get the proper replicate cover from motorcycleseatcovers.com. Just be sure to get the Premium Black Long Grain material. Of course, if you don't care about authenticity, you can get seat covers from lots of places, or in any color you choose!

I'll clarify 'Bugs answer a bit; the sidecovers can be off any '80-81 Special or Midnight Special as the shape is the same (if not the color), but the sidecover emblems are specific to the '81 midnights. You can get reproduction emblems here:
      http://www.reproductiondecals.com/de...tent.html~main
... but they're not cheap. The '81 MNS is a very unique model and shares a number of parts with the '82 XJ11 (brakes/wheels), so you need to pay attention when buying parts...

You've got a similar problem with the seat; while the seat pans are the same between the '80 and '81 bikes, the foam shape isn't (so a '81 cover won't fit a '80 seat with OEM foam or vice-versa); add in the fact that many seats have had the cover/foam replaced with aftermarket 'bucket' seats and the OEM foam is gone can complicate a restoration. No one is reproducing the seat foam for any of the Specials, so if the OEM foam is gone or damaged too much, you'll have to build your own.

Finding good unbroken sidecovers and nice seats for any XS model can be a challenge, so expect it to take some time. Watch eBay, they do turn up on there, but you may not like the prices...

      Sent you a PM...
