  • 3928 key

If anyone has a bike with this key set I would sure appreciate it if you could cut a duplicate and sell it to me. I managed to loose a key during the move this summer.
    Thanks,
    Scott

Bring the number to a good locksmith they should be able to cur the key from the number. Bring the gas cap with you (if it matches) and then you will know if it works right on the spot.

Could you also check for a 4042 key while you are at it. Thanks much,

I thought that 4042 looked familiar, but mine isn't quite the same. But as said, any GOOD locksmith should be able to make a new key for you from the code.

              key

Unfortunately, the 3928 was on the 78E that i sold recently. Sorry

              Also, have no 4042.

I have a complete lockset for a standard. Includes ignition, tank cap, & helmet lock. No side cover lock. $25.00 + shipping

I have found in the past that keys with similar #'s sometimes work in each others locks. IE: a 4037 might work in a 4012, or like that.

The 3--- & 4--- series never interchange, tho.

www.keysinthepost.com in the UK will make a key by number. It's about $23.00 including shipping, takes 2-3 weeks.

                thanks

                Tom,
Thanks for looking, I may take you up on the offer of that set. Still a few more things to unpack and the keys may show up yet. Out of interest what is the code on that one?

Sorry Bob, my 40's are 4025 and 4005
