  • I need fuel mixture screws

Does anyone have any extra mixture screws you could part with. I need to synch my carbs but my screws are in pretty bad shape. I feel once they come out, the heads will be too stripped to replace them. The last time we adjusted the mixture for the stage 3 kit, one of the screws took some getting out and looks pretty bad. Please help if you can. thanks

    mixture screws

Do you mean air mixture screws? From your Profile it looks like you have the 1980 xs1100G is that correct? I think the 78 79 air mixture screws are different then the 80 81. If someone with more know how would chime in and lets us know if they are different and if they will interchange it would help.
I got I think 1 from a 1979 set of Parts crabs. They stick out over the top with a spring. Not the recessed ones. Free with 75.00 shipping. WHAT? Lol
Free if they will interchange + postage.

No, 79 carb mixture screws will not interchange to 80 carbs.

Monhollenj, get those mix screws out, square off the tops, cut new driver slots in the tops with a dremal and cut-off wheel, a little thin smear of antisieze on threads and run then in and out a few times. JAT, and works just fine.
