Looking for left side cover

Mine fell off and I didn't notice, I have a 1979 XS11 Special. Anyone have an extra one?

Good ones of those are like gold man. Many of them have the latch broken. And 79 specials are the only direct fit, although you can also get 80 and 81 standards but you have to work over the holes in the top into slots to fit them on (just as 80 and 81 standards can use 79 specials left side covers but have to create the round hole in the slot).

how about 79 standard? as mine was gone when I got my bike...

I have two. A good red one with a good logo and a red one that needs sanded and paint. Both have good lock tabs. 79 xs11 Special is the only bike they will fit. PM me if you want to work out a deal.

Actually with a slight bit of work those will also fit 80 and 81 standards as well, the only difference being the slots in the top need round spots created in the middle of them. You can also do the reverse with 80 or 81 standard left side covers and put slots into them going out from the round holes. The right side covers are the same on all three, just the left side differs and once modified, a given cover could be moved back and forth between a 79 special and 80 or 81 standard at will.
