A little chrome handle that attaches between the top shock bolt and the forward hole for the backrest mount. Used to hold onto for assist in getting the beast on the centerstand. I had one, till i mounted a backrest, and lost the hole for the handle!!

BTW, using them on both sides would be a waste, you can't operate the centerstand from the right side
Former owner, but I have NO PARTS LEFT!

Wouldn't do you any good if you had two; the handle has a small 'offset' bend in it, and if you try to mount it on the other side it ends up crooked...

Bend it the other way and crack the chrome . I think he wants them on both sides for looks, not utility. I managed to keep the grab rail front piece on mine when mounting the rack I got from you (it was on with the back part cut off already from the Vetter hardware installation), it works pretty good as a grab handle, which is what I use it for. It's not perfect, but it's good enough.

cywelchjr is right, just for looks. Ties the chrome rack to the chrome shock top in an otherwise dead looking area, a better look IMO.

That's why my grab rail was cut off just behind the connection point behind the shocks, leaving it just like two grab handles. Not 100% as pretty, but it works ok, and does tie that area together by giving a bit of chrome going off to disappear behind the saddlebags.
