  • Ignition Pickups

My bike is down with the red wire broken on my ignition pickups
I'm tired of fixing the wires, and the used ones only seem to last about a year.
So where can I buy the assembly new?
Other than the guy on e-bay that wants $500.
I just want the wires and the pickups, not the vacuum and the plate.
Again, just looking for a clue.

You can replace the wires with leads from a cheap multimeter. They seem to be a bit more flexible than regular stranded wire. Harbor Freight has cheap ones for $4-5.

Check with your local hobby shop, and see if they carry noodle wire.

Unfortunately, that $500 NOS timing plate is pretty much your choice for new as these have been discontinued for years. As was said, you can replace (not repair) the wires fairly easily and much, much cheaper...
