  • Front Turn Signals Needed For 78 Standard

These seem to be really difficult to find! I believe these are the only parts I need to finish my 78 Standard restoration. I need left and right turn signals with mounts for the front. Chrome can be re-chromed if needed and I have a couple useable lenses if needed.

    Thanks!

        Signals

You can buy after market signals and stays via ebay and I think Motorcycle Superstore may have the signal stays.

The 'standard' turn signals are the same all the way through to '81. Front and rear housings are identical, with the difference being the fronts are dual-element lamps for the 'running light', so in a pinch you can swap sockets to convert. Or just run the rears in the front as-is, minus the running light.

New reproduction ones are available here...
          https://www.partsnmore.com/cat_index...ory=electrical
... for only $10 each, but several members have reported these as having really crummy plastic housings that break easily. New rear 'stalks' are available, but I haven't seen the fronts as repos. If you have no luck finding the front mounts, I have a very nice spare set, but no lights. PM me if interested.

My bike has the XS motor but can't really call it XS11
(or at least it still looks like the XS motor)
it has about 50% of the frame left from the XS bike
