      Thanks for letting me know.
I have been told it is a pacifico.
It has the square headlight that is identical to the stock one the directionals lenses are also the same ones that go on the trees.
On a tag inside which says Yamaha Parts Distributers.

        Hi Rick

I posted this a while back. Lucky for you no one has figured it is a fairing bracket or no one has needed one.
Go to e bay on M/C's, type xs1100 seats in parts & accss. They have posted a "seat mount" shaped like a big H for $14.99.
My fairing is identical yours and that item in e bay is the bottom bracket for it. The fairing sits on that and the two ears in the cross bar are bolted to the frame down tubes from the front more or less at valve cover height. There is another bracket with a hook like piece that is bolted to the frame in between where the top and bottom steering head bearings go.
It is a bear to install and definitely not one you take off just for occassions.
As I have mine off the bike, in a storage shed, as soon as I can take pictures I'll post them for you.
        Good luck finding the brackets.

          bracket

I have that same fairing for my 81 and the bracket was the same as a vetter fairing. I actually sold the bracket last year to a fellow member that used it to mount a vetter fairing and said it went right on without any mods.

I've been searching ebay for days.
I would really be interested in what the upper bracket looks like.
How does it attach to the fairing?

That fairing is NOT a Pacifico. It's a Vetter Windjammer, made for Yamaha. The mounting bracket is a one-piece unit that screws to the existing threaded holes in the front of the frame down-tubes, then pipe clamps secure the bottom supports to the frame down-tubes.

                Bug:
I'm asking since there seems to be a difference of opinion as to what it is.
What makes you say it is a Vetter?
On thing that suports your claim is that it came with a Vetter bracket which says Honda.

It fits the fairing but not the bike.

I think the seller also claimed it was a Vetter

I once emailed Graig Vetter asking what fairings he make for Yamaha XS11and I never got a response.

I hope you are right because the Vetter brackets seem to be a hell of alot easier to get a hold of.

Please do not be offended I just do not want to have a collection of brackets.
                Thanks in Advance

                  Yamaha Pacifico Fairing

                  Hi Rick:

I bought new and still have my 1100 I purchased in 1978 and at the time I bought the fairing and saddle bags for it. The fairing and bags for my bike were definitely made by Pacifico for Yamaha. The picture you've posted is different and like Bug mention could be Vetter but, its definitely not a Pacifico. Hope this helps you. The link below will show you pictures of the fairing and brackets for the Pacifico.

The reason I say it's a Vetter is the shape around the windshield. I'm not going to say I am 100% certain, since even Vetter's listing of all his fairings does not show one with a rectangular headlight or built-in rectangular turn signals. Neither do any of the "Owner's Bikes" pages. However, the Pacifico had a flat-bottomed windshield, and the Windjammers had the rounded cut-out over the headlight.

The mounting brackets are bike-specific, and very few of them had any marking on them whatsoever, except for the most popular ones (like Honda).

Either way, it's not a Pacifico.

                      Thanks again Shark & Bug

My fairing seems to have a lot in common with the wind Jammer.
Wind sheild, the snap on left side storage bin cover.

                      http://www.craigvetter.com/pages/Vet...ings-main.html
The one in this picture for the Honda looks alot like it too.
Logically tho: if the vetter bracket fits the fairing then a Vetter bracket for an Xs11 should fit the bike and the fairing.

Sorry, haven't been to the storage yet, so I don't have pictures. After seeing the ones posted by Shark, my brackets are identical to those.
Did you find the bottom one for sale on e bay?

                            Hey Al:

                            No worries.
On further examination I learned the fairing is not a Pacifico.
The Pacifico uses the 2 piece bracket.

It is more likely to be a Vetter or a Vetter copy.
It has so much in common with the wind Jammer.
The wind sheild, pocket covers and inside of the fairing from the pictures look exactly alike, down to the knock out for a cigarette lighter.

I sent Vetter 2 emails but they have yet to respond.
Any way I'm working on getting a Vetter bracket from another member who has one.
