  • Begging one last time before I go the eBay way

I need a nice condition Special speedo cover and an 80 pilot box. Mostly the cover, though. They used to be a dime a dozen on eBay, but they don't come around as much these days. Plus you never REALLY know what your getting until it shows up at your house. I have several nice tach covers if someone needed one of those. I will only leave this post in the members lounge for a couple days. But, most folks only venture over to the for sale section when they need something. PM or respond. TIA

You just want the chrome outside part? If so I may have one off my 79, should be the same I think. I'll dig for it when I get home from work and send you a picture.

        Hi '81,
you mean the chromed tin bucket the speedo sits in?
I just threw a dead XS650 Speedo in the garbage, I'll go dig it out again.

            Hi again '81,
I just grubbed that speedo out of the garbage (yukk!) and found that my memory had played me false. The chrome bucket had already been taken off and re-used. Sorry.
