  • #2 carb carburetor body 80-81 wanted

I need the carb body that has the hole connecting the main jet tower to the pilot jet tower (requires plug). Broken posts ok. I can fix that.

Wouldn't that make it an early-model (before '80) carb? The '80-'81 carbs don't use a plug. The pilot jets are open to the bowl.

No, this is not a pre 80 carb. Didn't the 80's carbs come both ways? some with the tunnel and some without? I need the one with the tunnel.

Yep, there is a "mixed" carb set from the early 80s that had alot of the features of the newer version, but the pilot was still fed from the main. Seen it up close and personal myself.

These "bastardized" carbs have the 4 holes in the inlet bell incorporating the fuel bowl vent and therefore only one T joining the carbs. They also have the mixture screw down inside the tunnel. In fact, when I first worked on this set of carbs, I had NO idea they were not exactly like my 81 model carbs. Even the jets were pretty much the same as my 81 models. The only difference is that tunnel conecting the main jet/emulsion tube tunnel to the pilot tunnel.
